We installed the rack in a cottage where every square foot of storage is precious. It does the job without unnecessary frou-frous saving us an entire double cupboard space. Overall quality is good, but be sure to check the fasteners before assembly. The parts and plans were designed for use with Allen head bottom wall screws, but the set came with Phillips. This created blind spots requiring partial disassembly when bolting the preassembled rack to the wall. The powder coat finish looks like it will hold-up. Also, the eight hooks that come with the kit should be all you'll need. Solid construction and good value.

.... in a utensil rack. Now, I realize that your hopes may aim higher than mere utility and convenience. I once aspired to artistry myself. But now, at least at the kitchen stove, I'm finely and fairly fulfulled if I can access my spatula or my basting brush without rummaging in three drawers and quarreling with my dishwasher.

I have three of these Oxo racks on the walls near the stove. I installed them, in roughly 10 minutes, in 2006. They've remained shiny and sturdy ever since. The hooks slide from side to side, so that utensils of various shapes can be accommodated without unsightly overlap. What more could one hope for?

We moved into a very outdated kitchen with tiny drawers. I was going crazy trying to cram all my utensils into them. I am dreaming of a kitchen remodel but don't have the money to pay for that! This bar and hook system has helped a lot. We installed it on the inside of a lower cabinet door so it is out of the way but easily accessible. Highly recommend it.

The rack rail itself is great sturdy and does the job, but the additional shelf is loose and doesn't screw into the brackets - maybe it was just the unti we got... but there were no screws nor screw holes on the shelf itself and the brackets... so we just used adhesive to secure the shelf. It was a minor thing for us that didn't warrant the hassle of returning/exchanging it - because we didn't really want to put anything on the shelf, since it was too small anyways.
