I got this pot rack/shelf for Christmas. I knew going into it that we'd have a difficult time hanging it, mainly because we have a nearly 100-year-old house that has plaster walls. Every time my husband and I try to do some kind of home improvement project, it never goes quite right. I took the advice of one of the other reviewers and bought the 1/4 x 2" lag screws and washers, pre-drilled the holes, and all that. Other than the fact that my wall looks like swiss cheese from trying to find a stud (at least we had the sense to drill them down low where the stove will cover them up until we can patch them) and the fact that we still aren't sure if we hit any studs, the shelf looks great and seems very sturdy. I have my KitchenAid stainless steel pans; 3 sauce pans, stock pot, and 2 frying pans all hung up on it. We're pretty sure we got at least 2 of the screws into a stud....guess we'll never know for sure. The finish is fine with me, not as attractive as some but definitely not ugly. I think this shelf is a great value and really helps to free up space in my small kitchen. Recommended, even if you are home-improvement challenged like we are.

I recently purchased this pot rack and am highly satisfied with the purchase!! I was very wary of hanging it, considering that we have an older house with thick plaster walls. However, we took the advice of the previous posts, bought a stud finder and longer screws, and it worked like a charm. The rack is sturdily hung with 10 piece set of Calphalon pans hanging from it, and then some! I was also worried about the finish looking cheap, but I am not at all disappointed with the way that it looks and am glad that I chose this finish over the more expensive ones. Very satisfied with it and can't wait to show it off!

REALLY?!?!? well i bought a pot rack on the 26th of December... bought as part of my wedding anniversary gift and was estimated to be at my house in between the 30th adn the 2nd...well guess what?..today is the 7th of January and I HAVE NOT RECIEVED MY PACKAGE!...Costumer service very poor and informal, extremely disappointed with this horrid service so if you wanna buy from them PLEASE DONT! Go to BED BATH AND BEYOND, they do have the same rack, use ur 20% off coupon and you get it for the same price that way you avoid dealing with this type of dishonest and unprofesional people.
